Bradford Ecumenical Home Receives Deficiency-Free Survey

Department of Health surveyors arrived at the Bradford Ecumenical Home on Monday afternoon to conduct their annual inspection.  The facility received the results of their survey during the exit interview on Thursday, November 4, 2021 where surveyors announced that no deficiencies were cited during their annual inspection.   Lisa Johnson, Administrator and CEO stated, “Our staff works diligently to provide the best care to our residents while abiding by stringent guidelines and regulations.  Our survey results reflect the hard work, extra effort, and attention to detail that our employees display each day.  I’m proud of our employees who put forth their best effort and prioritize the needs of our residents.  The vigorous and focused efforts of each department did not go unnoticed during the facility’s survey.”  Inspectors carefully examined each department to confirm the facility is operating within the required specifications mandated by the PA Department of Health.

The deficiency-free survey came just as the facility announced upcoming plans to reinstitute in-room visitation.  Effective Monday, November 8th, families and friends can schedule visits by calling the receptionist Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm at (814) 368-5648. Visits can be scheduled 24 hours in advance and specific visitation guidelines will be maintained to ensure the safety of the residents and abide by all necessary infection prevention precautions.

BEH, Inc. Holding Vaccine Booster Clinic for Staff and Residents

According to the CDC, studies show that protection against Covid-19 may decrease over time, especially in those people who are 65 and older.

Data shows that a booster shot may boost immune response. Therefore, it is recommended that certain populations receive the vaccine booster. Included in this recommendation are older adults, people 18-64 with health conditions, people 18+ who live in long-term care settings, and people at risk of exposure, ie. health care workers, first responders, etc.

Bradford Ecumenical Home, Inc. has partnered again with Walgreen’s to host a Pfizer vaccine clinic today, October 15th for residents and staff of its Continuing Care Retirement Community.
